SHOTLIST: GAZA, PALESTINE (APRIL 27, 2025) (ANADOLU - ACCESS ALL) 1. PROSTHETIC LEG OF RAID ABUL-KAS, MUNICIPAL EMPLOYEE 2. SON OF RAID ABUL-KAS SPEAKING TO REPORTER (Arabic) 3. VARIOUS OF AMPUTATED RAID ABUL-KAS AND HIS SON AT PROSTHETICS AND REHABILITATION CENTER IN GAZAGAZA, PALESTINE - APRIL 27: An Israeli drone strike critically injured a municipal worker in Gaza and killed one of his sons, according to local sources on Tuesday, Apr. 29. Raid Abul-Kas was reportedly carrying out official duties with a government permit when he was struck by a missile. His sons, Mahmoud and Mohammed, ran to his aid but were hit by a second missile. Mohammed later died of his injuries at a hospital, and Mahmoud had his leg amputated. The attack involved more than five missiles, according to eyewitnesses. Abul-Kas also lost his right leg in the strike. Both he and his surviving son are receiving treatment at Gaza’s Prosthetics and Rehabilitation Center, where medical supplies and equipment remain in short supply. Israel has closed Gaza’s border crossings to food, medical supplies and humanitarian aid since March 2, triggering a deepening humanitarian disaster, according to reports from government bodies, human rights groups and international agencies. The Israeli army renewed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas. More than 52,300 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave. Reporting by Hamza Z. H. Qraiqea // Writing by Mustafa Tuncer
