Chimpanzee uses chopsticks to eat noodles like a human at Chinese zoo
Recently, at the Lehe Ledu Wildlife Theme Park in Yongchuan District, Chongqing, a chimpanzee named Yuhui has once again attracted public attention for his skill of "slurping noodles with chopsticks." His human-like eating habits have drawn crowds of curious visitors.
In the video, Yuhui skillfully picks up soft noodles with bamboo chopsticks, holding the bowl, lifting the noodles, and eating them—all with smooth, natural movements.
Yuhui, a 23-year-old male chimpanzee, is considered a "star employee" at the park. Since 2021, this hardworking chimp—who first went viral for imitating humans doing laundry—has gradually learned over 20 household tasks, including sweeping, wiping windows, and folding towels. He has been awarded the park’s “Smart Star of the Year” title for three consecutive years.
