A hapless trainee pilot crashed into a parked truck in Florida.

Footage shows the aircraft moving from the runway to the parking area at Page Field Airport in Fort Myers, Lee County.

As she entered the ramp area, the outboard portion of the plane's right wing unexpectedly struck the stationary vehicle.

The Cessna 172R Skyhawk II then veered to the right, and its propeller struck the rear of the truck before coming to a stop. The right wing was reportedly damaged.

The captain said the aeroplane had no mechanical malfunctions or failures prior to the accident that would have affected its regular operation.

Officials confirmed that the trainee had just completed her second solo flight on February 5 when the incident occurred.

No injuries were reported.
