On the evening of April 28, in the Longdi Huating residential community in Longyan, Fujian, a girl wearing a mask repeatedly pretended to be a ghost, scaring two young children inside an elevator.

Surveillance footage shows the two little girls taking the elevator home alone. After pressing their floor number, a masked girl suddenly appeared outside the elevator, repeatedly blocking the doors from closing and making ghost-like gestures. The “masked girl” even ran from the first to the fourth floor to continue scaring them. The two young girls were eventually frightened to tears.

After the incident, the children's parents reported it to the police.

On the evening of April 29, the mother of one of the frightened children said the masked girl’s parents had apologised to her and her children. Given their sincere apology and the fact that her children had seen a psychologist and were doing fine, she decided not to pursue the matter further.

On April 30, police stated that the case had been resolved and that the children's mother had forgiven the other party.
