VARIOUS OF BODIES BEING CARRIED TO VEHICLES FOR BURIALDEIR AL-BALAH, GAZA, PALESTINE - APR. 30: At least 14 Palestinians were killed Wednesday, Apr. 30, in an Israeli airstrike on the Nuseirat Refugee Camp in central Gaza. Casualties — both dead and injured — were taken to Al-Aqsa Martyrs Hospital in nearby Deir al-Balah. The strike is part of Israel’s ongoing military offensive in the Gaza Strip, which has resulted in widespread civilian casualties and extensive destruction in the besieged territory. The Israeli army renewed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas. Nearly 52,400 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
