Bungling workers demolished wrong apartment
A gang of builders accidentally demolished the interior of the wrong apartment, leaving a homeowner in shock.
Mr Li, who had returned home from work, was stunned to find his flat in disarray with scattered wood pieces and missing furniture in Tianjin, China.
Footage shows the aftermath of the mix-up, showing the remains of built-in wardrobes and cupboards that had been reduced to matchwood.
His floor tiles had been ripped up, the bed was knocked down, and his furniture was smashed into pieces.
The incident occurred when the builders reportedly arrived at the wrong flat after finding Mr Li's door left open by a faulty lock.
Mistakenly believing they were at their client's home, the team began demolishing the interior.
Despite the destruction, the homeowner has chosen not to sue the workers. Instead, he hired them to carry out a full renovation of his apartment at a heavily discounted price of CNY 10,000 (approximately 1,100 GBP).
Mr Li said: 'We're all just working hard to get by. There's no need to make things more difficult for them.'
