US, Phoenix: Peoria Woman Killed, 2 Children Injured In Loop 101 Rollover Crash
Phoenix, United States - April 30, 2025 04/29/2025 11:08 pm GMT-0700 PEORIA, Ariz. – Arizona Department of Public Safety troopers, the Peoria Police Department and Peoria Fire Medical crews responded to reports of a single vehicle rollover collision on the northbound Loop 101 between Thunderbird Road and Bell Road at approximately 11:08 p.m. Tuesday. According to the AZDPS sergeant at the scene, a sedan occupied by an adult female driver and two pediatric passengers veered across multiple lanes before entering the dirt shoulder area at high speed. The vehicle rolled multiple times before landing in a dry canal, approximately 100 feet east of the Loop 101 mainline. The driver of the sedan was ejected from the vehicle as a result of the rollover. The driver was transported to a local trauma center by Peoria Fire Department personnel in extremely critical condition. She was later pronounced deceased. The two pediatric passengers were transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries. The northbound Loop 101 on-ramp from Thunderbird Road and the right two northbound lanes near milepost 14 were closed while troopers investigated the collision. The ramp closure and lane restrictions were expected to remain in place for several hours.
