Storm blows over food display as monsoon season starts in Thailand
A storm blew over a food display as the monsoon season began in Thailand.
Strong gusts of wind and heavy rain battered an open-front eatery in Suphan Buri on April 27.
This prompted staff to quickly move dishes and food away from the outdoor stand.
CCTV footage shows an employee gripping a glass cabinet in an attempt to prevent it from toppling, while two other workers can be seen waiting for them inside the kitchen.
However, as the gale intensified, two of the glass racks fell from the corner and shattered on the ground.
Upon seeing this, her colleague grabbed her by the hand and ran inside to safety.
Moments later, the fierce winds shattered the furniture, scattering debris inside the store.
Once the storm passed, staff returned to clean up the mess left behind.
Authorities have warned residents to stay indoors during severe weather.
Thailand is frequently affected by tropical storms during its monsoon season, from May to October, bringing heavy rainfall, strong winds, and potential flooding, especially in low-lying areas.
