Potosi Police Chief Gum praised the fast response, writing, “Thank you to the staff and our School Resource Officer at Potosi Elementary for their quick response to the tornado warning. They did an amazing job in a very short amount of time.”

The district also expressed gratitude on Facebook, commending the school team and community for their actions during the storm. The footage is a sobering reminder of the importance of emergency readiness—and the dedication of those protecting our children every day.
