....WEST JERUSALEM - MAY 1, 2025: Ultra-Orthodox Jews held an anti-Zionist march on Thursday (May 1) in the Mea Shearim neighborhood of West Jerusalem, coinciding with Israel's Independence Day celebrations. Dozens of demonstrators carried anti-Zionist banners and waved Palestinian flags, expressing opposition to the state of Israel and its founding ideology. The protest was organized by members of the Haredi community who reject Zionism on religious grounds. Some demonstrators voiced strong opposition to the state of Israel and expressed solidarity with Palestinians. “We raise the Palestinian flag because, first of all, it's a symbol that we have no war with them,” said Daniel, one of the demonstrators. “The Palestinians are our brothers… and we want them to live peacefully and with freedom, with complete freedom.”
