Petro's arrival at the gathering point was accompanied by the sword of Simon Bolivar, which was transported in a glass urn and, at the end of his speech, was brandished by the leader. The popular consultation is part of the government's strategy to advance labor reform, which was previously rejected by the Senate. This mechanism would allow twelve questions of national interest related to labor reform to be submitted to the will of the citizens.
