Firemen rushed to a family's home to help them free a toddler trapped inside the bathroom.

Footage shows the volunteers first using a crowbar as they tried to pry open the broken lock in West Java, Indonesia.

The three officers used a hammer to force the latch open, but it did not work.

When there was a loud banging sound from the door, the girl panicked inside and started to cry.

Her worried mother tried to calm her down, along with the firefighters who talked to the kid while they worked.

After almost a minute of banging on the door, the team finally opened the door and extracted the youngster.

Cicalengka Fire Department volunteer Ikhwan Andriansyah said: 'The child was trapped inside because she accidentally locked it, but could not open. We went there to handle the incident.'

The rescue operation was done on April 25.
