"May the cheese be with you!" Wild mice in funny Star Wars scene
"May the cheese be with you!"
These wild mice appear to be getting set for this year's Star Wars Day.
Sci-fi fan Simon Dell mocks up hilarious scenes in his Sheffield garden and waits for the critters to interact with them.
He says: "I take many photos of the mice to post on their own Facebook page called 'George the Mouse in the Log Pile House'."
"Being a fan of Star Wars, this week's theme is being ready for May the 4th."
Star Wars Day is an informal holiday celebrating the date's pun-like similarity to the film's catchphrase "May the Fourth be with you"."
Simon says: "The setting is a whole mouse village all built around and on a log pile packed tight with moss and a mossy covering where the mice live deep inside in handmade nest boxes all linked with a system of tubes."
"They have everything from a village pub to a school, a store and even a bakery. Everything is handmade by myself, often from recycled materials. If I can think it up I can make it mouse size and I often do."
"Like most wildlife, the mice come for food; often peanuts and seeds, but I do use a little rub of peanut butter to get them interested in my little props."
"I've always loved Star Wars and still have fond memories of my toys as a child in the 70s."
"I am 51 years young and still very much in touch with my inner child."
