GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 2, 2025: Ten Palestinians were killed on Friday, May 2, when Israeli warplanes struck the home of the al-Harsani family in Jabalia, northern Gaza. Following the strike, civil defense teams and civilians conducted search and rescue operations in the rubble of the destroyed home. During the efforts, a young girl was pulled alive from the debris. Since March 2, Israel has closed Gaza’s crossings, blocking essential supplies from entering the enclave despite multiple reports of famine in the war-devastated territory. The Israeli army renewed its assault on Gaza on March 18, shattering a Jan. 19 ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement with the Palestinian resistance group Hamas. More than 52,400 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in Israeli genocide since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
