Officers Celis and Correia of the Tacoma Police Department are being praised for their heroic actions after pulling a man from a burning vehicle following a crash. The incident occurred in the 900 block of South 96th Street, where a vehicle struck a pole and fence, igniting the engine compartment.

When the officers arrived, flames had already engulfed the front of the car, and one occupant remained trapped inside. Without hesitation, the officers pulled him to safety and carefully guided him through dangerous downed wires to escape the fire.

Thanks to their quick thinking and bravery, the occupant was rescued before the situation worsened. The department recognized their actions as a shining example of courage and dedication to public safety.
