A high-stakes vehicle pursuit ended with three arrests and the recovery of loaded firearms and drugs after a suspect fleeing Westchester County Police made a critical wrong turn. The chase began on the Saw Mill Parkway when the suspect vehicle fled from a traffic stop. The driver exited onto Yonkers Avenue—right into the hands of waiting Yonkers Police officers.

What followed was a dangerous pursuit through Yonkers city streets, ending in a crash and multiple foot chases across a park and train tracks. Officers from both departments acted swiftly, deploying tasers and arresting three individuals: Mathiu Garcia (23, Bronx), Luis Fernando Da Silva (23, Yonkers), and Ronald Sanchez Urdaneta (20, Yonkers).

The pursuit resulted in the seizure of two loaded Glock handguns, one equipped with a 30-round magazine, and six bags of pink cocaine. All three suspects face multiple weapons charges, with Garcia also charged with felony drug possession. This operation underscores the effective teamwork between Yonkers PD and Westchester County PD in keeping illegal guns and drugs off the streets.
