Golfer practicing swing accidentally hits bird
A man practicing his golf swing accidentally hit a bird.
Nina Tahti, 33, watched as her boyfriend, Nico Ruiz, 34, hit a golf ball - only for it to collide mid-air with an oncoming bird.
The couple were enjoying a day out at Turkey Creek Golf Club in Lincoln, California, when the accident occurred.
Nico, who is deaf, didn't realize the ball had struck the bird until Nina showed him the video afterward. Both were stunned.
Fortunately, they saw the bird fly off and return to a tree with other birds, so they knew it hadn't died.
Nina, a salon owner based in Lincoln, California, said: "I was so shocked when it happened. "
"I couldn't decide whether to keep recording his awesome shot or the bird."
"Since my boyfriend is deaf, his reaction was just to watch his great swing. "
"He had no idea what had happened."
"But once I told him and showed him the video, we were both shocked and almost as surprised that I actually caught it on camera!"
