On March 30, 2025, Castle Rock Police Officer Mike Keiler rolled into Metzler Ranch Skatepark—not in a patrol car, but on a skateboard. As one of the department’s in-house skaters, Officer Keiler spent time riding with locals, chatting with park goers, and building connections through a shared love of skating.

The visit is part of CRPD’s ongoing effort to engage with the community in creative and meaningful ways. By joining residents where they are—whether on trails, in parks, or at the skatepark—officers are fostering trust and making positive impacts beyond traditional patrols.

More skatepark visits and outreach events are planned for the summer, and the department encourages skaters of all levels to join in and connect with the officers who serve their city.
