Men rescue helium balloons stuck on phone lines
Locals untangled a batch of helium balloons stuck on phone wires in Manila, the Philippines.
The footage shows a man on a ladder cutting the threads of the balloons with scissors while three men and a crane support the ladder to prevent it from getting out of balance.
Moments later, after intense efforts to cut and detangle the threads on the cable wires, the balloons were set free, with a few of them deflated.
In the Philippines, cable lines for electricity and telecommunications are often suspended on utility poles. These lines on poles are more exposed to external elements, making them susceptible to outages caused by environmental factors, accidents, or vandalism.
