VARIOUS OF SYRIAN ARMY RECEIVES DELIVERED ARMED VEHICLESDAMASCUS, SYRIA - MAY 4, 2025: Druze community in Damascus began handing over heavy weapons to the Interior Ministry as part of an agreement reached with Syrian government officials. The disarmament process started in the Jaramana neighborhood, following a May 1 deal between Druze representatives and security forces. Similar efforts are reportedly ongoing in Sahnaya and Ashrafiyat Sahnaya. Deputy Director of the Eastern Ghouta Region, Mohammed Sayyed, said the handover is proceeding gradually and has received strong support from Druze community leaders and clerics.
