Phoenix, United States - May 04, 2025 05/04/2025 03:00 am GMT-0700 PEORIA, Ariz. – An AZDPS trooper attempted to initiate a traffic stop on a reckless driver traveling northbound on the Loop 101 near Indian School Road shortly after 3:00 a.m. The driver refused to yield, and a pursuit was initiated. Additional troopers responded to assist as the pursuit made its way north on Loop 101. The suspect led troopers northbound for several miles at speeds exceeding 100 mph. The suspect then exited the Loop 101 at Peoria Avenue. With the suspect fleeing on surface streets, troopers disengaged from the pursuit and began circulating the area where the suspect was last seen. A short time later, at approximately 3:10 a.m., troopers located the suspect vehicle near 89th Avenue and Cactus Road. The vehicle was engulfed in flames following a collision.
