Phoenix, United States - May 04, 2025 05/04/2025 12:40 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Phoenix police officers and the Phoenix Fire Department responded to reports of a shooting at a single-story apartment property near the 1800 block of East Oak Street around 12:40 am. Sunday. Officers arrived and began working to secure the scene while Phoenix fire crews staged nearby. Officers learned that the shooting victim was transported to a hospital before first responders arrived at the scene and informed fire crews that they were not needed. Officers surrounded an apartment unit believed to be involved in the shooting and issued commands to any possible occupants still inside. At least two people were detained during the initial investigation. The extent of their involvement is unknown. Phoenix police officers established a crime scene. The investigation is ongoing.
