Biescas, Spain - May 01, 2025 A couple suffered a panic attack during their descent of the Barranco Os Lucas in Orós Bajo, Biescas, and had to be rescued by the Guardia Civil. The pair, aged 26 and 36, both from Pamplona, were unable to continue their activity and called for help. The Greim (Mountain Rescue Group) of Panticosa responded to the emergency on Thursday, May 1, 2025. The couple was rescued without injuries and transported to their vehicle. This rescue was one of eight operations carried out by Guardia Civil rescue teams over the weekend in the region. Other rescues included a 53-year-old man who broke his ankle while descending the Formiga Gorge and a 28-year-old Italian mountaineer who sprained his ankle on a hike near Góriz Refuge. On Saturday, the rescue teams also assisted a 24-year-old French hiker suffering from vomiting, a 39-year-old man from Seville who fell 100 meters while hiking, and a 49-year-old man who injured his ankle while canyoning. Another operation on Sunday involved a skier who suffered a knee injury near the Maladetas Peak, and a 55-year-old climber with a dislocated shoulder after a fall in Vadiello.
