The activity was designed to prepare personnel for emergencies that may occur during water landings involving military aircraft.
Footage shows Marines from the 5th Air Naval Gunfire Liaison Company practising how to exit a simulated submerged aircraft.
Authorities said the event helps improve reaction time and enhances safety during real-life incidents.
The underwater egress certification ensures Marines are fully prepared for missions that involve amphibious or aerial operations over water.
The training took place at the Camp Hansen Aquatic Centre in Okinawa on May 1.
