This is the hilarious moment a driver plunged into the water while attempting to pole vault across a canal.

Ki tried to cross the waterway using a bamboo stick when his hand slipped off the staff, causing him to lose his balance in Bangkok, Thailand.

Footage captured by Monchai Sinprasert shows the trucker stumbling into knee-deep water on April 23.

He then extended his hands toward the wall in an attempt to regain his balance.

His colleague can be heard laughing at the comical mishap as Ki struggles to climb out of the canal.

Monchai said: 'This was his first time trying to cross the canal like this, but his hand was too slippery, so it failed.'

Ki reportedly did not sustain any injuries from the comical mishap.
