Israel - May 07, 2025 An undercover agent was activated by the Jerusalem Police – 10 suspects were arrested on suspicion of weapons trafficking crimes throughout the city and surrounding areas. In the past year, an undercover agent was deployed by the Agents Division in the Central Unit of the Jerusalem District. During the operation, a connection was established between the agent and the suspects in the arms trade, during which the trust in him grew stronger and led to meetings between the agent and the suspects in Jerusalem for the purpose of realizing and executing arms deals. After the payment phase, the agent purchased various types of weapons from the suspects in several cases in the east of the city and in a settlement near Jerusalem. Forces from the Jerusalem District, the Border Guard, the IDF, and other units raided and arrested 10 suspects, residents of East Jerusalem and the surrounding area, on suspicion of trafficking in weapons, including maintenance workers at a hospital in the city, an employee of a food vending chain, and more. A search of the suspects' homes found a Glock pistol, six vehicles designated for confiscation, and large sums of money.
