NEEDHAM, Mass. — The Needham Police Department is shining a spotlight on an extraordinary young resident whose kindness, courage and determination have made him a beloved figure throughout the community.

Mack, who lives with Spastic Quadriplegic Cerebral Palsy, is known to many as the "unsung mayor" of Needham. Despite the daily challenges of his condition, the young Bruins fan spreads joy to everyone he meets and inspires others with his resilience and compassion.

At just eight years old, Mack launched a golf tournament to raise funds for adaptive needs, helping not only his own family but others facing similar challenges. Officers who have visited him in school describe him as the “sweetest and most caring child” they’ve encountered.

As Mack undergoes another surgery followed by weeks of recovery, the department is asking the public to show support by sharing messages of encouragement. Police say Mack’s strength and spirit are a reminder that not all heroes wear capes—or even uniforms.
