Pakistan missiles damaged buildings in India as conflict erupted yesterday.

Footage shows locals inspecting the destroyed car along with a ruined structure in Poonch, Jammu and Kashmir, on Wednesday, May 7.

At least 12 people were reported killed, and dozens more were injured in heavy overnight shelling by Pakistani forces.

The ceasefire violation came just hours after India carried out strikes on nine terror camps across the Line of Control (LoC) under 'Operation Sindoor', which the Indian government confirmed. At least 24 missiles were launched around 1:30 am.

Pakistani officials reported at least 31 deaths and more than 57 injuries in the strikes. The missiles reportedly hit locations in Pakistan-administered Kashmir and the eastern Punjab province.

In response, Pakistan launched intense shelling across the border into northern India just hours later.

Authorities confirmed that the Pakistan military opened fire along both the Line of Control (LoC) and the International Border, triggering panic in several border villages.

Wing Commander Vyomika Singh of the Indian Air Force said: 'India has demonstrated considerable restraint in its response. However, it must be said that the Indian Armed Forces are fully prepared to respond to Pakistani misadventures, if any, that will escalate the situation.'

The strikes followed a terror attack in Kashmir on April 22, which resulted in 26 deaths. The Resistance Front (TRF), a shadow group of the Pakistan-based Lashkar-e-Taiba, claimed responsibility for the attack.

Intelligence sources suggest the assailants may have crossed over from Kishtwar via Kokernag to execute the planned strike.
