Storyline: All Chinese personnel taking part in the joint air force exercise with Egypt returned to China on Wednesday night, marking the successful completion of the two countries' first-ever bilateral joint air force training. The Chinese air force left China for Egypt in mid-April. The 18-day drill at an Egyptian air force base was the first time the Chinese air force deployed a full combat system, including fighter jets, early-warning aircraft, refueling aircraft, and helicopters, to Africa for a joint training. Throughout the exercises, the two sides held in-depth exchanges on training models, air combat tactics, and aerial refueling. They successfully completed a series of training subjects including air superiority operations, suppression of enemy air defenses, battlefield search and rescue, and mixed formation flight, among others.
