VARIOUS OF PALESTINIAN PEOPLE WAITING AND GETTING WATER FROM TANKERS / CHILDREN CARRYING WATER IN CONTAINERSKHAN YOUNIS, GAZA STRIP, PALESTINE - MAY 8, 2025: Amid ongoing Israeli attacks and a tightening blockade, the water crisis in the Gaza Strip persists, with residents in Khan Younis resorting to filling containers from tanker-distributed water to meet their daily needs. Access to clean water remains severely limited and irregular, compounding the humanitarian challenges faced by Palestinians as the conflict continues. Since March 2, Israel has kept Gaza’s crossings closed to food, medical and humanitarian aid, deepening an already worsening humanitarian crisis in the enclave. More than 52,600 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants in November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
