LONDON, UK - MAY 8, 2025: Protesters gathered outside the BBC headquarters in London on Thursday, May 8, to denounce the broadcaster’s coverage of Israel’s war on Gaza. Demonstrators accused the network of concealing war crimes and presenting a pro-Israel narrative that downplays the humanitarian crisis and genocide in the Gaza Strip. The protest took place outside the BBC’s Portland Place offices, where crowds held signs reading, "Report the genocide, not support the genocide," "Bloody BBC," "BBC lies, people die," and called for more transparency in the broadcaster’s coverage of Israel’s actions in Gaza. They also shouted slogans such as, "BBC, you can’t hide. You’re supporting genocide." The Israeli army has launched a brutal military onslaught on Gaza, killing nearly 52,800 people, mostly women and children, since Oct. 7, 2023. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza.
