Man finds house fire’s only survivor - a Billy the Bass singing I Will Survive
This is the moment a man inspecting a house destroyed by fire discovered the only 'survivor' - a melted Big Mouth Billy Bass singing 'I Will Survive', by Gloria Gaynor.
Bradley Bonee, 35, was inspecting the burned-out home to provide a quote for the damages when he unexpectedly came across the still-functioning novelty fish.
Despite being visibly melted by the heat, the Billy Bass's motion sensor and speaker were somehow still working.
As Bradley walked past, the fish suddenly burst into song, belting out I Will Survive,
an ironic choice considering it had in fact survived a fire that left the home itself as a total loss.
Bradley, a general contractor based in Charlotte, North Carolina, said: "First, it scared the living daylights out of me."
"None of us were expecting anything to make noise in that house — then all of a sudden, the bass just started singing."
"Once I realized what had happened, I just found it funny and ironic."
"We ended up deeming the house a total loss, meaning the whole thing would have to be torn down — so the fact it survived is impressive."
"And the fact that it's singing I Will Survive is just hilarious!"
The video was filmed in May 2022.
