US, Bakersfield: Shafter High Speed Collision Leads to Ejection

Bakersfield, United States - May 08, 2025 05/07/2025 06:33 pm GMT-0700 SHAFTER, Calif. – Emergency services, including the Kern County Fire Department, California Highway Patrol and Hall Ambulance, responded to a scene Wednesday evening at the intersection of Highway 43 and Dresser Avenue in Shafter following reports of a male being ejected from a gray SUV. Witnesses described the driver of the gray SUV as traveling at a high speed while heading north on Highway 43 and passing Jack Avenue. The vehicle collided with a white pickup truck parked on the side of the road, ejecting the driver into nearby bushes. His vehicle came to rest in a field adjacent to a business. The male driver of the white pickup was transported to a local hospital with unknown injuries by Hall Ambulance. The California Highway Patrol is currently investigating the incident.
