The strikes focused on the city of Jaisalmer, where explosions were heard, according to local media. A complete blackout was enforced in the area following the attacks, as reported by ANI News Agency. The Indian Army stated that Pakistan conducted coordinated drone and munition attacks along the western border overnight between Thursday and Friday, which were "effectively repulsed." There was no immediate response from Pakistan regarding the Indian military’s claims. The latest escalation comes after India announced "Operation Sindoor" late Tuesday, claiming it targeted "terrorist infrastructure" at nine locations inside Pakistan. Pakistan’s military reported that 31 people were killed in Indian airstrikes and cross-border shelling in Pakistan-administered Kashmir. Meanwhile, officials in Indian-administered Kashmir said at least 16 people died in clashes along the Line of Control (LoC). Amid rising tensions, India closed 27 airports in northern regions until May 10, according to state broadcaster DD News. The shutdown led to the cancellation of around 430 civilian flights on Thursday.
