People also heard blasts. “Blackout in Jammu now. Sirens can be heard across the city,” Chief Minister Omar Abdullah said on X. Abdullah, who is currently visiting Jammu city, said: “intermittent sounds of blasts, probably heavy artillery, can now be heard from where I am.” There are reports of blackout in various parts of Kashmir Valley as well. "Drones have been sighted in Jammu, Samba and Pathankot; they are being engaged," Press Trust of India reported, citing Indian military officials, without mentioning origin of the drones.
