Cape Canaveral, United States - May 10, 2025 SpaceX successfully launched its 900th Starlink satellite of 2025 during a dramatic Saturday morning mission, overcoming storm threats in the region. The Starlink 6-91 mission lifted off at 2:28 a.m. EDT from Space Launch Complex 40 at Cape Canaveral Space Force Station. Despite forecasts warning of possible thick cloud layers and anvil clouds, a break in the weather cleared the way for an on-time launch. This flight deployed 28 Starlink V2 Mini Optimized satellites, contributing to a growing constellation now totaling over 7,400 in low Earth orbit. The launch marked SpaceX’s 250th Falcon 9 mission from SLC-40 and its 38th Starlink launch of the year. Falcon 9 first stage booster 1083, flying for the 11th time, was used for the mission. After liftoff, the booster made a successful landing on the droneship ‘A Shortfall of Gravitas’ just over eight minutes into the flight. This was the 108th landing for this droneship and SpaceX’s 444th overall booster recovery.
