China - May 08, 2025 A young man in his twenties from Laibin, Guangxi, recently faced a life-threatening situation when he went fishing alone at a nearby waterhole. What started as a relaxing outdoor activity quickly turned disastrous when he accidentally fell into a 35-meter deep pit. While enjoying his fishing trip, the man lost his footing and plunged into the pit, suffering multiple injuries. Trapped and unable to climb out, he was left in distress. Emergency rescue teams from Laibin's fire department were immediately dispatched to the scene. They utilized a rope system to lower a rescuer into the pit. After intense efforts, the rescuers successfully pulled the man to safety. He was taken to the hospital for medical treatment. This incident serves as a reminder to all outdoor enthusiasts that safety should always be the top priority.
