The first overseas exhibition of the 2025 China Yiwu International Commodities Fair, also known as Yiwu Fair, in Indonesia has seen record numbers both in participants and deals. The exhibition is being held from Thursday to Saturday in Jakarta, capital city of Indonesia. The event features thousands of kinds of small commodities showcased by more than 100 Chinese exhibitors at 150 booths that cover a total area of 5,000 square meters. The three-day exhibition, running at the Jakarta International Expo, has attracted tens of thousands of visitors to check out products from Yiwu, the world's largest small commodities market in east China's Zhejiang Province. At a booth showcasing Christmas decorations that blend in local cultural elements, three Indonesian buyers discussed the product samples for a long time and finally reached a cooperation intention with the exhibitor. In the first quarter of the year, Yiwu's exports to Indonesia reached 2.62 billion yuan (about 362 million U.S. dollars), up 6.6 percent year on year, customs data showed. This year's Yiwu Fair in Indonesia welcomed more than 20,000 visitors on its first day, doubling that of last year's edition, according to organizers of the event.
