Police rescued more than 150 malnourished dogs and cats from a home in Utah.

Bodycam footage shows authorities opening a front door, where they were met by barking canines running through the residence in Ogden on April 15.

Animals were seen on chairs, on the bed, and inside boxes.

One officer said: 'There's, like, 40 right here.'

Emergency responders quickly retreated to get masks due to the overwhelming smell.

Officials confirmed 156 animals were removed from the home.

Two men involved are now facing hundreds of charges. One of them has been charged with 698 offences, including 168 counts of misdemeanour cruelty to animals.
