US, Los Angeles: Chatsworth Brush Fire Sparks Response at Stoney Point Park

Los Angeles, United States - May 11, 2025 05/10/2025 07:50 pm GMT-0700 CHATSWORTH, LOS ANGELES, Calif. – Multiple resources were dispatched to a report of a brush fire at Stoney Point Park in Chatsworth. Upon arrival, firefighters discovered a small brush fire located about 150 feet up the mountain along Topanga Canyon. Air tankers conducted multiple drops on the east side of Stoney Point. Fire crews faced challenges as they hiked to a difficult-to-access area of the park to lay down hoses. This incident occurred during a heat wave with triple-digit temperatures affecting the San Fernando Valley. The fire was situated behind several ranch-style homes; however, no evacuations were ordered for the surrounding neighborhood. Fortunately, no injuries were reported. The cause of the fire is still under investigation.
