Phoenix, United States - May 11, 2025 05/11/2025 12:00 am GMT-0700 PHOENIX, Ariz. – Part 1: Shooting Victim Location (2725 N. Black Canyon Hwy) Part 2: Location of the Shooting (27th Avenue and Indian School Road) Phoenix police officers and Phoenix Fire Department crews responded to reports of a person with a gunshot wound at the Motel 6 located at 2725 N. Black Canyon Hwy shortly after 4:00 a.m. Officers arrived to find an unidentified gunshot victim inside a motel room. Phoenix Fire (conveniently stationed across from the shooting victim's location) arrived moments after the scene was declared secure. The victim was transported to a local trauma center with serious injuries. Officers quickly learned that the victim was shot in the parking lot of a strip mall near 27th Avenue and Indian School Road. A witness drove the victim to their nearby motel and called 911. Officers responded to the address provided by the witness and located multiple shell casings in the parking lot. A crime scene has been established, and the Phoenix Police Department is actively investigating the incident.
