GAZA, PALESTINE - MAY 11, 2025: At least two Palestinians, including a child, were killed on Sunday, May 11, in an Israeli airstrike on a home in Gaza’s Al-Zaytoun neighborhood. Grieving relatives gathered in the courtyard of Al-Ahli Baptist Hospital to bid farewell and perform funeral prayers. Separately, at least 17 Palestinians, including seven children, were killed in a series of Israeli genocidal attacks targeting displaced civilians across the Gaza Strip, medics said. The Israeli army resumed its assaults on the Gaza Strip on March 18 and has since killed 2,720 people and injured 7,513 others, shattering a ceasefire and prisoner exchange agreement that took hold in January. More than 52,800 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in ongoing Israeli genocide since October 2023, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
