LAKEWAY, Texas — Officers from the Lakeway Police Department spent the weekend encouraging the next generation of business leaders by visiting local lemonade stands in celebration of Lemonade Day.

The national event aims to teach children about entrepreneurship, financial literacy, and goal setting through the hands-on experience of running a small business. Officers stopped by several stands across the community, meeting young participants and praising their creativity and dedication.

“Big dreams often start with small steps,” the department wrote on Facebook. “Let’s keep cheering on our youth as they dream big!”

The department’s involvement reflects its ongoing commitment to supporting youth and building strong community ties—one cup at a time.
