Fighters from Brigade 188 and Yalam destroyed central underground infrastructure in Rafah
Rafah - May 09, 2025 Hamas soldiers surrendered in Rafah, were interrogated by the Shin Bet, and following their interrogation, fighters from Brigade 188 and Yalam destroyed central underground infrastructure in Rafah. During the activities of the 188th Brigade Combat Team in the Rafah area, two soldiers from the Hamas organization surrendered and were taken for questioning by the Shin Bet. During their interrogation by the Shin Bet, the soldiers provided significant intelligence information, which indicated the location of an underground infrastructure in the area. The infrastructure served as a place of residence and organization for key soldiers in the Hamas organization in the 'Shaburah' area in Rafah. Under intelligence guidance, fighters from the Yahalam unit and other forces, under the command of the 188th Brigade combat team, began operations during which they located the underground infrastructure, which is about a kilometer long and located at a depth of about 25 meters. The infrastructure included living rooms, toilets, a kitchenette, swing doors, and several exit shafts. After investigating the area, the forces destroyed the infrastructure. During the operation, the forces raided several additional infrastructures in the area, where they located weapons and military equipment. All weapons were destroyed.
