PALESTINIANS PARTICIPATING IN PROCESSIONWEST BANK, PALESTINE - MAY 12: A symbolic “silent funeral procession” was held in the occupied West Bank to mark World Red Cross and Red Crescent Day. Palestinian health workers who participated in the procession in the city of Ramallah carried empty stretchers symbolizing their colleagues killed in Israeli attacks. The march, which started from Yasser Arafat Square, ended at the headquarters of the Palestine Red Crescent Society in Al-Bireh. According to health sources, Israel has killed over 1,400 humanitarian and medical workers in Gaza since October 2023. Nearly 53,000 Palestinians have been killed in Gaza in a brutal Israeli onslaught, most of them women and children. The International Criminal Court issued arrest warrants last November for Netanyahu and his former Defense Minister Yoav Gallant for war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza. Israel also faces a genocide case at the International Court of Justice for its war on the enclave.
