Los Angeles, United States - May 12, 2025 05/12/2025 03:00 am GMT-0700 RIVERSIDE, Calif. – Multiple people were stabbed in the early morning hours of Monday at the Elmer Day Sober Living in the 3800 block of 4th Street in Riverside. At about 3 a.m., one of the residents from the sober living home, for an unknown reason, started stabbing residents along with the house manager. A witness who was walking by said the suspect chased residents into the street, where he continued to assault other residents. At one point, the suspect turned the knife on himself and began stabbing himself before running back into the sober living home. According to information at the scene, five people from the sober living home were stabbed, including the house manager. At least four of the victims were transported to a local area hospital in unknown conditions, and two of the victims can be seen in the KNN video from the scene being treated before being transported to the hospital (Transport in part 2 of the video). Riverside police officers, along with Riverside SWAT, were on scene and ordered the suspect to come out of the house unarmed with his hands in the air. The suspect looked out the window several times but remained inside the home. At about 5:30 a.m., the suspect finally complied and came out with his hands up, as seen in the video. The suspect was taken into custody without further incident. He was covered in blood from head to toe. The front door to the home, along with the security screen, was broken, with a significant amount of blood covering it.
