This is the shocking moment a plastic road barrier was sent flying through the air, violently striking an oncoming car.

Dashcam footage shows a vehicle driving along the highway to Pattaya in Chonburi, eastern Thailand, on May 9.

Suddenly, a traffic divider appears, hitting the car driven by Thanapon. He slams the brakes, narrowly avoiding being struck by the barrier that had been thrown onto the road.

Thanapon said: 'Can anyone be held responsible for this? What can I do? My car only has third-party insurance, and they won't cover this incident. They didn't come to inspect or take any responsibility.'

The driver said that if the partition had come through the windshield, it could have resulted in serious injuries.
