Passengers baffled as mist fills AirAsia plane during delay
Passengers were left baffled as mist filled an AirAsia plane in Thailand.
Dramatic footage captured by Pakorn shows thick fog blanketing the aisles and rows of the Airbus A320 following a flight from Hai Yat Province to Bangkok on Monday, May 12.
Pakorn said: 'It was raining heavily at Suvarnabhumi airport and the plane couldn't park in the building. I had to wait on the plane for one hour for safety reasons.
'The staff were very nice and walked around checking on the passengers the whole time. What you see is not smoke, it's just normal steam.'
Fog inside a plane happens when warm, humid air inside the cabin meets colder air or surfaces, causing condensation.
It is usually harmless and a result of temperature and pressure differences. This mist typically happens during takeoff, landing, or rapid altitude changes.
