Guyuan, China - May 12, 2025 Firefighters in Ningxia's Xiji County rescued a two-year-old toddler who had fallen into a sewage pit two meters deep. The incident occurred in a village, where the child accidentally plunged into the pit filled with toxic gases. Firefighters quickly arrived on the scene, using a bulldozer to expand the rescue area and pump fresh air into the pit. Meanwhile, a team of firefighters entered the dangerous environment, digging by hand to reach the child. Despite being covered in mud and enduring harsh conditions, the firefighters worked relentlessly without pause. After nearly 50 minutes of intense efforts, the toddler was finally pulled to safety.
