This is the heroic moment a pregnant barking deer was rescued after falling from a 110ft waterfall.

Tourists and locals spotted the animal struggling in the water at Jokkradin Waterfall in Kanchanaburi, Thailand.

Local media reported that the Muntjac had plunged from a cliff into the pool below on May 2.

Onlookers rushed to help, gently pulling the distressed animal from the water before administering first aid while waiting for emergency responders.

Moments later, rescue personnel arrived at the scene to assist.

However, authorities later confirmed that the deer and its unborn fawn succumbed to their injuries and were pronounced dead.
